hi Sam, as promised...
O Lord, our hymn to thee we raise,
In gratitude for all our days,
And dedicate our songs of praise
To thee, O God.
May tongue of ours ne'er gain the art
To wound or chill another's heart,
But as we learn to play our part,
Help us, O God.
O Lord, we thank thee for each day,
For home, for friends, for school and pray,
For grace that we may ever say
Thank thee, O God.
For voice that has the power to sing,
For hands that mould for feet that spring,
For all our gifts, for everything,
Thanks be to God.
O Lord, grant year by year, that we,
Grow daily ever nearer thee,
In word, in deed, in purity,
Hear us, O God.
Then when our days at school are past,
May all go forward, holding fast,
To faith, that we may at the last,
See thee, O God.
found it in an old blue coat sunday book from 1991, hmmmm... the things you keep hey! think I only kept it as the hymn was the only one we sang that I thought was ok. Anyway, dare say people all over Walsall might be singing in the shower (well maybe)
website is looking great and the pics of the reunion are fantastic - need another one definately!!!!!
